ShadowKindjal 21 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 I know Emby is currently able to limit the maximum number of simultaneous video streams for an entire account but is there a way to limit these streams by live tv tuner? I honestly don't care how many streams my users open up for content located locally but I would like to limit streams on my IPTV provider by account since I'm limited to five connections.
Luke 42078 Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Hi, m2u tuner setup has a stream limit option.

It does have this option and I'm currently using it but I'm looking for a way to restrict the number of connections a user can use from a tuner. Say my iptv provider allows for three connections and I have three accounts on my emby server. It would be nice to limit each user to only access a max of one connection to the tuner but still allow them to have as many streams of locally hosted content as they want. Does that make sense?
Luke 42078 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 OK i understand. There is currently no way to do this other than the per-user simultaneous stream limit, which will apply to all forms of video playback, although this question has come up before and is possible for the future. Thanks. 1
