Nostradamus1973 25 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Good afternoon everyone, I've been pulling my hair out for a few hours now and I'm totally stressed out because emby isn't playing nice when it comes to downloading my m3u/xml data for live TV. It appears that I'm able to grab the "Emby Guide Data" and that seems to be working okay, however when it comes to grabbing my m3u or xml it doesn't work. Refreshing guide data BRIEFLY shows the progress bar like it's going to do something, and then it closes without grabbing any data. I've already tried deleting the m3u and xml and re-adding them, which made things worse, because now instead missing JUST guide data I can't play any m3u's/streams. Logs attached Thanks a bunch nostradamus-embyserver-63797370494.txt nostradamus-embyserver.txt
Luke 42078 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Hi, the server hosting your xml tv url is sending back a 404 not found response. Please check that the url is valid and try again.
Nostradamus1973 25 Posted August 29, 2022 Author Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) Hiya Luke Thx for getting back to me URL is Valid, checked with VLC and able to download m3u As far as the XML file I also am able to view the it within a web browser as well EDIT: I just re-verified with Kodi using IPTV Simple Player and the m3u and EPG are working perfectly. Edited August 29, 2022 by Nostradamus1973 I added another test method
Nostradamus1973 25 Posted August 29, 2022 Author Posted August 29, 2022 I was wondering if there's a folder that can be deleted that can help reset/reload the live TV database stuff? I'm totally frustrated because I can access The m3u/EPG links from the same PC that has Emby Server on it, which makes me think this issue is solely within Emby. Earlier I tried installing the current beta and nothing changed(I've since gone back to 4.7.6.0), I'm running out of ideas quickly, and one idea that I'm dreading is doing another FULL OS install and starting from scratch, re-indexing 50TB of media isn't something I'm looking forward to. Thx ย

Thx ย There's nothing to reset that will change the fact that your provider is sending back a 404 not found response. You could try playing with the user agent option on the xml guide data to try and make the request look like it's coming from something different than Emby Server.
Luke 42078 Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 And for what it's worth, I can see the url in the log and it's giving me a 404 response in the browser too, although I suppose that could be due to region blocking.
Nostradamus1973 25 Posted August 30, 2022 Author Posted August 30, 2022 Nope, you were right the first time, I was unaware that Emby stopped updating the guide when it couldn't access ONE of my several xml links, which caused my guide to be sparsely populated in a weird way that didn't correspond to the working xml links. Where Kodi would ignoreย the bad xml, Emby did not, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I could have just deleted the bad xml file(in the Live TV Section) and been done with it, unfortunately I got over zealous and did a fresh install, On a positive note, I'm getting VERY efficient at reinstalling everything. LOL! Thx again Luke 1
