There are literally 100,000's of jav titles, and you can request them too, they might take a week or so to update the images but you can request them and they will add aand be available soon.

It looks like this only affects newly added javlibrary links. I can see that the fullcover is downloaded but not the poster image. In some rare cases, if I Edit Image, then run a search manually, the poster is then found.

Yes,  there is a backup process running at the moment that creates the posters from the full-covers, but that is intensive so it only runs once a week or more if I trigger it.  
The JAV is fetched and added to the Database, but as you noted it initially has only the full cover image (backdrop), the secondary program is creating posters, back covers, thumbnails etc from that full-cover, but like I said that's happening once or twice a week only at the moment.
So the JAV is added but it can be up to a week before the Poster appears with it.  It is being done, the Posters are being generated - many 1000's per week.  The other caveat is JAV Library now use cloud-flare so they block the scraper or ban the scraper IP if it goes too fast.  It has to be creative in fooling the site that its not a bot!

Its not just JAV sites that have this issue - I know I need to fix it.

I will update the scraper when I have time, so it does the posters creations from the full-cover as the full-cover is grabbed, but I don't have time at the moment.

This is because they  are  being added, but up to a week later than the data, maybe after you scanned your item in.

My background worker will not fetch from Javlibrary at the moment, the site appears to have been hacked again with links taking you to cams and trying to install avgsecure browser (a virus)

hi, i can't get the plugin to work, i checked on some sites where it gets the metadata and the title exists, but it doesn't apply it to the movie. it's a scene rather than a movie, but it's there. do i have to rename the file somehow? i only put the title in this case, thanks

The plugin doesn't visit any sites, it uses its own database, and it doesn't really support scenes only vod and full movies.

Pm me the title and link and I'll check it.  Don't post it here.

I just found this. Is it possible to implement a rename feature in this - I.e. once it matches the file it renames and moves it to desired directory structure? or do you have any advice for other tools/scrapers that can do this?

ADM has been taken offline

This is in response to new legislation

I am not risking any fine let alone an 18 million fine for something I provide for free.

I might put it back online once I figure out what I am going to do to comply - if I choose to do so that is...........

sorry for the inconvenience, most users are probably over 18 years old but I now have to ensure everything has been done to make sure and keep records - not sure i want to do that.

ADM was the best option by far and worked incredibly well. Shame that it has to come to this but understand its a huge risk for you.

Would it be feasible though for the average home user to run ADM off a home media server perhaps?

EDIT: To clarify, this would be for an individual to run all the required services on a home server to have ADM collect links, scrape, store and update Emby for personal use that is. The user would then proceed as usual to enter the links to scrape and have ADM/Emby update as usual.

ADM Plugin does not scrape anything, it accesses a flatfile database which is huge.

I still have all the data, all I have done at the moment is turned the server off.

Currently I have very little time on my hands to do much of anything computer related.

However I am open to ideas, so it could possibly be re-instated in the not so distant future.

All I have to do is comply legally by making absolutely sure no minors can access the data.

For me that's a bit of a challenge, the current server would need some changes as well as the plugin.

You could also alter your DB slightly to ensure that the rule does not apply to your DB.
As far as I understand, the rule only applies if you have ties with the UK (which I assume that you do) and fulfil one or more of

• Provide a user-to-user services - an online service that allow users to interact with each other (I'm marking this up as a NO)
• Provide a Search services - online services that include a search engine for more than one page or DB (you only have one DB so this is a NO too)
• publishes or displays pornographic content - It does not include text or written content. (this can be a YES if you provide or link to the images. But if you remove these then this is a NO)

So in short, as long as you a) cut your ties with the UK , or b) make sure not to display pornographic clips or images, then you are in the clear and no check is needed. I'm not sure how big a part of the provided value the cover images are, but I assume that users can find these elsewhere?

Because the movie dvd covers and the textual overviews are often pornographic then ADM is required to comply with this law.

The covers, sure. But the textual overviews are specifically exempt from the rule.

Maybe so in the description, bit it doesn't change the fact that I have to comply with this law.

The easiest thing to do for me is just switch it off, it's doesn't make me anything, but does cost a little.  I don't use it at all.  It was made to fill a space whilst I learned plugin development and other programming techniques.

I don't mind paying a once off fee to help cover costs, so it doesn't cost you to keep this project running and keep the plugin alive.

Alternatively, if the plugin can be run directly off our local machines I'd be up for that too
