After wrting the above message I ried it with VPN running and it updated correctly. So I guess my ISP was blocking... Thank you very much for your help

That's a first, so far never had it blocked by an isp.

Where in the world are you?

By the way do you know any other way to bypass this besides a VPN? It slows the connection and I will have to do the updates manually

No idea why your ISP would even block the url.

I use a VPN often (PrivadoVPN) and do not notice any slow down at all, so I guess thats down to how good the VPN provider is.

I have the latest version installed and enabled in my settings, yet when i make a test folder and put a dozen movies in it i get nothing, just a generated thumbnail, it's not pulling any box covers, or actor info, or anything, i disabled it and went back to using the moviesdb plugin and it got them right away, so what info does this pluging actully get? my collection is 4000+ full lenght movies from the 60s through the 2000's, i'm not using it for clips or single scenes, surely it must have data for films no? if so why isn't anything coming up?

First of all make sure you put in the correct access key in the settings, then turn on all the logs and verify its contacting the server.  Read above, there are a few people that had different issues, the server is operational and works fine.

Make sure it is turned on as a fetcher in the library settings (Metadata and Images)

Check the server cache folder, see if there is an ADM folder and that in it is a file called \ADM\AdultMovieList.txt, this will contain the current movies that it can find.   The list auto updates on demand and is needed by the plugin. This can be opened with a suitable text editor for large files.

If the access key is missing or the cahed file is not downloading you will get nothing, can you  identify and find anything? - access key is in post 1

Sounds to me like one of the above is not happening

The Database is currently over 630,000 Movies - it fetches all the info I have, Poster, Actors, Directors etc - many actors with images.    Mainstream (American, Europe, German etc) JAV, VOD, and others. Most JAV (and there is a lot) though doesnt have a description, Just the poster and actors.  The database is still growing and may or may not contain the titles you are looking for, this is an English Language plugin.

Just to confirm/double-check, this provider site/DB doesn't have any data for content from tube sites like PornHub/xHamster/XVideos or sites like ManyVids/Fansly, correct?

Correct.

DVDs and VODs only.

ADM is currently offline due to hardware failure.

I cannot offer an eta for it to be back online at present because i dont know yet what has died and what needs replacing.

Its been online for almost 2 years with only 2 short outages so far....

Please be patient :)

ADM doesn't do trailers at all at the moment, but emby  itself does support them if you put them in your media directory with the movie like this:

Filename-trailer.mp4

And then refresh that item so it gets picked up and added to the database.  It will then appear in the detail screen.

What‘s the current access key？I can’t scrape using the key 15-05-2024, and plugin shows that

That is the current access key.  I can access it fine here.

 

Check your cache folder has a folder in it called ADM and iside that is a file called AdultMovieList.txt

The ADM folder is empty, should I create the file named AdultMovieList.txt? The Update Database button seems it does not work well, though showing Update MovieList was Successful!

What you need to know is why you cannot download the update.

What country are you?  I had 1 person in Turkey report similar, and it turned out his ISP was blocking the IP of the server.  Some others with reverse proxies had problems also.

I can add that update file here but its no use if you cannot access my server for the metadata either.

 

What does Log Available Movie List updates say in its log?

I do not have a static address , thats why its a dynamic url.  I'll pm it to you.

Can someone please let me know how I go about installing the adult metadata plug in. I cant find any instructions for it. Im using a Mac. Any guidance would be appreciated

Great plugin ! i would kindly request a feature for the plugin. Option in plugin to define a folder NOT to scan. Exclude it from scanning so we can include in library for example website rips and similar.

Good day ive been trying to install this plugin in TrueNas and i put it into the plugin folder but it wont recognize it has anyone had any luck on TrueNas?

For Anyone on TrueNas before installing Emby make a dataset for emby and when you install emby point it to that dataset and then this plugin will work.

I cant figure out how to instal this plugin, I have it installed on a mycloud ultra ex2, and cant find a way to access the program files, any ideas?

No Idea

But its a NAS, so you probably have to find the plugins dir, ssh into it and copy it there and set permissions.
