Luke 42077 Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 How did you configure video settings in the app?

SteveFintel 30 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Before I installed the app, I copied the system folder to system.bak and the unzipped the beta build into system. All the settings were unchanged between the two builds so the settings listed above reflect how the beta build was configured.
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 The zip file you sent me is not an installable package. It appears to be just contain the contents of the system folder and it's subfolders. Can you send me a link to an installable package?

What i mean is can you just unzip it and run it from scratch without copying in a previous config?
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Sorry for being dense - are you suggesting I uninstall the current version, then install it and unzip the package over the newly created system folder?
Luke 42077 Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 No, I'm saying just unzip it to some random location and run from there.
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 OK. I'm away from that system right now. I'll try when I get back. 1
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 OK, I tried that. Same failure as before using 'stock' settings on video playback. The good news is that the 5.1 FLAC files play correctly.
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Is Windows up to date, as well as your graphics drivers?
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 Yes it is. I ran the update app Intel provides before trying the beta version of ET. It was already up to date.
softworkz 5066 Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Also, does it work for you, when choosing "libmpv" instead of "gpu" for video output?
Luke 42077 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Nevermind, forget our questions. Can you please download this build and let us know how it compares? https://www.dropbox.com/s/tjmartey16d2ja1/emby-theater.zip?dl=0 @generiq this build also adds gpu-next as an option. Thanks.
SteveFintel 30 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 This one is the schnitzel. I was able to get smooth playback on all sources using GPU-next. 5.1 FLAC audio was output correctly if I selected 5.1 (or 7.1) in ET's Audio section. If I selected Auto, then 2.0 was output on the same source material that worked previously. 1 1

Guest Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 There might be something wrong with the build. Playing a movie I have in Theater, it plays, but I get hundreds of lines like this in the log. But I don't get it in shinchiro's build as a standalone. softworkz 5066 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 @generiq - are there any functional issues besides those log lines?
