Dark Mode for Apple TV app similar to new JellyFin app

JellyFin is currently beta testing their new Apple TV client and it looks great! I've always thought that the Apple TV app needs an overhaul and saw JellyFin and it looks very nice, maybe the Emby team can take a look and see if they're interested in making something similar, I don't think it should be copied, I just think an Emby version of this design would be great. I've attached some screenshots just in case people haven't seen it.

Hi, yes we're about to have a new video osd that should be a nice improvement over the current one.

If you set your system settings to dark mode our app should respect it.

Thats good to hear, I guess to be more clear, what I would like is a true dark mode, something that would look very nice on an OLED. The design seems a bit outdated even the app icon is a little old school. Either way I appreciate the hard work you guys do.

Any updates on a new design for Apple TV? I don’t want to keep paying for other apps like infuse to get a better looking design

Hi, what exactly do you think looks better about it? Is it simply the dark mode?

Not just that but everything just feels old in the Apple TV app. I don’t think the app has ever changed since it came out. If is compared to other apps that are also in tvOS like infuse or even stremio and plex it just looks a lot better

here are some examples, these are all the same shows but treated differently. The emby one feels less immersive and less appealing in my opinion. the others showcase the artwork more and the buttons are more minimalistic. The emby app feels like a control panel that plays movies while others feel more cinematic and more immersive. I appreciate all the options but sometimes less is better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying remove features but when I'm on my tv I'm not there to manage the server, I just want to sit down and relax and enjoy a cinematic experience. Maybe this is just my taste idk

@Lukecan you just be honest and let me know if there’s any plan to update the ui? Even Apple got rid of this design in 2017.

Which picture is which ? I presume 1 is Emby and 4 is Infuse, so 2, 3 and 5 ?

4. I forgot but is an app similar to infuse

my point was that all types of apps have a more modern and immersive design
