Trying out Emby on an Amazon Firestick.  Blueray playback is perfect.  But DVD not so much.  The picture is washed out and has the odd green lines across the image.  See pic.

Should have added, all rips to server are in native folder structure.  No MKV's.

Any suggestions?

Hi, can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and let us know how that compares?

https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html

There's a good chance it will direct play the file without any transcoding.

Dumb question....how would I side load Emby app for Android?  If I go to the app store from the firestick it's just shows me the EMBY app which is what I already have installed.

Not having any luck getting the app-amazon-release.zip to the firestick.  I downloaded to my PC and tried searching the PC from Firestick via ES File Explorer, but ES won't open the folders on my PC (yes the folder in question was shared with "everyone" with read/write privileges).  I tried going straight to the app from your website via Downloader app on Firestick, but it wont download it.

Hi.  Unzip it so you have an APK.

I don't think that's it.  I uploaded the APK to my dropbox.  I accessed dropbox from the Downloader app on firestick and got the same error message.  I tried accessing dropbox from ES File Explorer and clicking on the APK caused an error message.

Hi Luke,

Unfortunately I already followed that guide from the link in another thread in these forums.  The only option I did not try was loading the app to my android phone and sideloading that way.

Are any of these the Beta file you want me to try ?  I don't see the latest 2.0.79

I am aware of that but you cannot sideload from the forum.

The APK you should use is the one I linked to earlier. I was only pointing you to this article in case it might help you with the side loading process.
