Android TV App broken ? Strange DNS requests

Hello,

Context :

- Server : 4.7.6.0 on Raspi 4 (32 bits) / Docker / With Premiere

- Client with issue : MiBox 3 app

- Client without issue : Samsung S9 app / Samsung TV app / Web

I've noticed that (since last server update ?), Emby app on my box is launching and able to connect to the server only a during the few dozens of second after a reboot.... if the box is up for several minutes, it doesn't see it (but the app on my telephone is OK).

At the exact same time, strange DNS request to the destination 10.2.0.1:53 are hitting my firewall.... Strange because my box is in 10.0.0.0/24 range and my Emby server in the 10.0.2.0/24 range.... 10.2.0.0/24 is not configured on my LAN.

Any idea to where to start debugging ?

Thanks Luke for your tip.

The side loaded SmartPhone app works fine, the Android TV on the same device doesn't....

Is the address shown on your Emby Server dashboard correct?

Are you happy with the standard app as your solution?

Hi ebr,

Sorry for the delay. Well strangely enough, Android TV is working again without changing a thing.... but I have now an issue from my 3rd disk which is seen from a "library" and add media perspective, but all new files from this disk are not seen in the Library and I cannot play any file from this disk. I'll dig a bit and maybe open a new topic.

My 3rd disk back to life, an other container was perhaps messing things.

Android TV app still working, without any (noticeable) change, apart from recreating the container....

Thanks for your help and patience.

Bumping my own topic.... once again Android TV app seems broken (only working few seconds after box reboot), Android app on my phone works fine, web access too.

I've migrated from Raspi0S 32 bits to RaspiOS 64 bits, brand new installation from scratch few weeks ago, but the exact same problem appears only today. I suspect the Android TV app.

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Thanks.

Unfortunately this time the sideloaded App doesn't work (message is cannot load Live TV channels). App is working on my Android phone.

What exactly do you mean by doesn't work?

I think I'm pointing to the problem.... which is my box... some app works, others don't.... even after factory reset. I'll dig into that.

Let us know how you get on. Thanks.

Very strange.

Yesterday evening after a factory reset, my box was not working.

This morning, it just works fine... except when watching trailers on Emby, after 3 or 4 second of videos, the image starts to have a lot of bright green boxes.
