I will be installed.  From the log it's running my code anyways.  I can see it all in the log there. Bad Boys movies, then gets the configuration and then has a brain fart

Try removing your trailers one.  It might be that one looking at the log closer

Further testing seems to indicate that if I've played something, it works as expected but if I haven't played it nothing happens.

So if the item has played flag then it works but not if its unplayed. 
what client are you on? What server are you on. 
any logs to share(debug) please

Correct. I have two trailers and a bumper, with only the bumper set to run on items marked played. Right now, if I play an unplayed item I get nothing, if I play a played item I get the bumper. Latest ATV, latest beta server.

We've had no power here all day so I'm catching up on some stuff, will try and get logs later.

Android TV or Apple TV, not that it matters but good for info.

i've just tested on beta version 21 and seems good on my end.  Can you check the Web client when you get chance.

Android, but the web and Emby Theater PC clients have the same issue.

Rotated log, marked Watermelon Man as played, played it, marked it as unplayed, played it again, downloaded the log.

Thanks for the log, its good there is an error in it for the second scenario. I’m not at the laptop today but will look at it as soon as poss.

So the last Emby app where TV Intros by TAG worked for at least one into video, is now broken. The LG App 1.0.37 came down in an update and immediately after TV Intros stopped working. This is using GA release of Emby Server 4.7.11.0. On the movies side, it still works but a new unwanted "feature" is a terrible grey background between each intro video whereas it was seamless before the update and looked smooth transition between each (on LG App).

Call me cynical, but this deliberate breaking of stuff seems like sour grapes on behalf of the Emby devs as your plugin was superior.

There is currently an open issue where only the first episode of a series gets intros. We are looking into it. Thanks.

Im having an issue at the moment where it will play all of the intros just fine except for the audio codecs, this is how i have my audio codec intros names, is there a specific way i should be naming these for it to work? or could it be something else

Hi there is needs to match the codec property what emby shows on details screen.

Question on this, is it capable of doing partial matching? ie if I have an intro called "2.0 Surround", having that match track titles "PCM 2.0 Surround",  "DTS-HD MA 2.0 Surround", "Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround", etc?

Unfortunately not, its to remove ambiguity in titles.

i think what you are after is a “No of Channels” match. But a naming convention would need to be made so it was unique against any other possibilities. Something like - channels2 channels3 channels6 etc

So i've added the channels feature to the Codec Intro Category.

I'm just looking at your error @crusher11, i may need you to turn on debug logging and reproduce.  it does give a lot more information on whats happening.

Ok back to the channels feature....

Important.   The naming convention for the file is Channels#, where # = the number of channels ... not channel Layout.  so

1. a 2.0 layout would be 2,
2. 2.1 layout would be 3
3. a 5.1 layout would be 6
4. and so on

this info is all available in the details page 

In the codecs folder as you know... you can create folders inside your main codec folder (as the search is recursive anyways) or just throw them all in the same folder.

a file would look like this and it's not case sensitive.

Select Codec/Tag intro

Give you intro a Name after selecting the codec folder that has your channels Intro in.  Then Enable the Channel Match Switch

 

DON'T FORGET TO DO A LIBRARY SCAN FROM THE SCHEDULED TASK MENU AFTER ADDING YOUR NEW CHANNEL INTROS.

Then play your media and enjoy.

Can't get an Codec-Intro running:

English Dolby Digital Plus Atmos 5.1.mkv is the intro name

To answer this question.  The plugin actually only looks for the First Track in video, audio streams of the media item.  

So even tho you have your atmos track named correctly,   it is actually the 2nd track so VP would never choose it anyway.  Which Audio Track do you have when you select the Movie? to play

By that i mean selection on the detail page

 

I could maybe check the streams that are being sent in playback manager, but i would need to get my head around that also, so wont be on the priority list.  As I have other things i'm working on.

I have thought about it but it's a lot of extra work for very little gain.  The thing to do is delete and make a new one.  for a few hours work for me (my Javascript is not good at all) against about 2mins work for the user, i decided not to do it.
