Did this get resolved? Currently I'm trying to use this plugin to give a YoutubeTV type feel that presents a relaxing 15 second video in-between each episode played (a little binge break). Currently only the first episode played in a series displays the Single Intro video. 

Or, do I need to setup this type of video differently in the plugin?

I believe this plugin is meant to do intros and pre-rolls before a single piece of media, not an interstitial between episodes. To do that you could use something like VirtualTV to set up a channel in the guide with "bumpers" between media.

Hey all!

This may have been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find anything. Is there now or will there eve be a way to make the plugin device specific? I would love to have a bunch of pre-rolls in my home theater but not necessarily on my other TV's and for my shared users.  I know that on some clients I can go into the settings and turn it off manually but some of my users are not tech savvy at all and I would have to go over to their house to turn this off. I would to be able to control who sees the pre-rolls at the parent level.  Is this possible?

Is anybody having issues with this plugin on v4.8? I haven't upgraded from 4.7 yet, but am planning to do so shortly. Just wondering if it will still work.

Ah i see because the tag will only ever match one file name, so if you had ATMOS, ATMOS-1,etc it will only ever match the atmos tag and always choose that file. I think this shoukd be a quick fix and also to incorporate @crusher11requests also.

Hey there, new Emby user and first post here!

Found this plugin and loving it, I understand the developer is not really around here much anymore but that's okay. Probably one of you who use this plugin can help me out.

I added the Certification category in the plugin settings and it plays the video clip fine - but the issue is it always plays the "Default.mp4" -> (Not Rated) no matter what is set for the movie.
So it's a metadata issue I'm sure. Server is for me and family and parents so I have the metadata language in Swedish which doesn't correspond to the rating system used in the sample download for the certification videos. 

Is there a way I can either "translate" the ratings from the Swedish system (SE-BTL, SE-7, SE-11, SE-15) OR have the metadata posters, info etc still in Swedish but just update the age rating to a different system like BBFC or the Australian one? And then hopefully it will work okay with the videos for those systems.

I went into the Emby control panel and had a look around in metadata manager and library settings but couldn't find anything regarding the age rating used for my library, just metadata language and I'd like to keep the rest of the metadata in my local language if at all possible. Maybe there's a setting somewhere that I missed.

Just a quick question. Is this using the Trailers plugin via Cinema Intros or does it search for online trailers on its own. Because I can't really use the Trailers plugin, because they never got around to let it get trailers in other languages. 

I wouldn't mind using local trailers, but is there any way to have a folder with trailers for upcoming movies, that can be used by the plugin?

First let me say that I love this plugin. When I was using Kodi, PME was my #1 plugin, and I think yours does a much better job.

I do have a few questions.

1) Do you plan on adding at some point a scripting abilities? (i.e.. It puts the lights at 50% during the trivia, and preshow fun, then fully dims when the trailers and movie starts)

2) Is there away to specify the player? I use a Z9X in my theater room, since it does DV, HDR, 3D, etc.  This is great with Emby, since it just calls the external player. The ZD Player is great for the movies, but its a tad slow, can I use xyz player for the "Intros" and then 123 player for the "Movie" ?

Update : So it seems with the Z9X, the biggest issue is the native Zidoo Player does NOT do streaming, so this makes it harder for me to be able to do trailers, unless I do them locally, which I would prefer not to do since they would all be movies I own, vs what is coming up.

Emby Server Version 4.8.10.0

 

I got my streaming issue resolved, however I now have some oddity I can't figure out. 

When I have cinema intros (ON the client) enabled, it shows the first into, then it comes back and says can't play movie, and goes back to the emby screen. If I disable cinema intros, it plays the movie just fine. 

I am doing this on my Z9X which uses an extremal player (Since I do 4K HDR, DV, and 3D). Its the only device I know that can do all of them. I am using the latest Emby Android client. 

I do not have any other devices, other then my PC. It works OK on the emby web interface. 

My assumption is the way it passes the dynamic playlist to the client?

Don't know if I can put links in here but the Kodi wiki has a samples page which provides links to lots of sources, search for 'kodi samples dts dolby' and you should find it.

these seem to mainly be tests but i mean like prerolls as where i use to get them from thedigitaltheater no longer has them

Plugin creator has not been online since August 25, 2024.

And since you are using Emby Beta server, I think this plugin will be dead when beta is released, as stabil.

Good morning on my side everybody, I have the latest vantage point plugin v 2.1.0.5 with emby 4.8.11.0, I have set up intros, phones and certification for movies, they all work just fine, same thing for series, just intro and certification, I can't get that to work in any way. I always get this error for series:

Yes, all the intros, files are accessible by emby, the movies one work without a problem, I did the whole library scan after every modification in vantage point, they don't work for series. My whole setup is in docker.

Really annoying, tv intro's just started working again. Not really sure what fixed it in the first place.
