Does Emby slow down when a library gets to a certain size?

If so should users arrange things (folders etc. ) differently?

This is just a question out of curiousity. 

 

Reason for it is because I notice when scrolling down through my library and first opening Emby for the day whether on my desktop or phone it takes time to load about 5-10 seconds initially.

Now I'm assuming it's my fault because my NAS of 100tb's raw is full with only 2tb's of room left. Roughly 3700 movies and 200 tv series. 

But it got me thinking about my question above so I figured I'd ask..

@King Pin When was the last time you vacuumed the database?

I would also increase the db cache size.

I've never done a vaccuum.  It said not to touch so I never touched.  LOL 

How big should the cache size go? 

I have 32gb's of memory in my NAS if it helps.

@King Pin With a library that size I would go 512 or 1024 but you can go higher if you like, all you can really do is test to what works for you.

As for the Vaccuum I assume it will take quite a bit of time and since I shut my computer down at night maybe I should start it at first logon?

As the setting say at next startup, but it varies per database size.  But really shouldn't take more than a minute.

I changed the cache size to 1024 and it's like lightning now.    ty sir!
