Issue adding movies

Hi. I'm having issues with adding movies. Earlier I had this movies folder working fine. I deleted it because I was experimenting with collections. I decided to add it back and it never populates. Previously it was titled simply "Movies". When that didn't work I tried naming it "Misc Movies". I can see it referenced twice in the log file near the very end, but I don't know what they mean. The files are in the format MOVIE (year).EXT and as I said they were working earlier. I deleted it, and am not attempting to put it back. Any ideas?

Hi @BobbyDingwhat emby libraries have your created and what folder paths did you add to each one?

Hi, Today I was experimenting with collections and purposefully deleted my MOVIES library. A bit later I went to put that library back by recreating it, but it comes up blank. I deleted it again, restarted Emby and tried creating the same library with the name MISC MOVIES, but also comes up empty. The files are in the format of MOVIE (year).ext and there are only a couple dozen files there. These files were in the previous library before I deleted it so Emby should see them again. All the other libraries are fine, though I haven't tried deleting and recreating them. Attaching log file. I see two references to the "Misc Movies" near the end of the log file, the second of which is not presented for the other libraries. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bobby

Sounds like a permission issue. Please compare permission and ownership of your working and non working library folders and files, they're probably different, then adjust accordingly.

Thank you so much for the responses. I did find the issue and am embarrassed that it's to me happened before. I had the movies library created and working. A couple weeks ago I threw into that library folder a new film to be watched sometime later. I never checked that the new film showed up in Emby at that time. It was "Fantasia (1941).mkv". h265/7.1DTS. The file played fine in VLC, but appears to crash the Emby scan (not sure if crash is the correct term). When I deleted and then re installed the library this one film kept Emby from creating the library. Removing it and rescanning worked fine. I cannot figure out what might be wrong with the file, but it has happened to me occasionally before. Anyway. Thanks again.
