Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Since installing 4.7.6.0 i've had to disable the above setting on two series recordings to allow the regular recordings to take place despite the fact that both series were being shown for the first time and therefore could not be in my library. log attached. Celebrity Masterchef did not record tonight episode s17e02. its not in my library had to disable it for Eastenders yesterday embyserver(9).txt
Luke 42085 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 OK so I can see that the guide data does not have episode numbers for Eastenders. What was the title of that episode? Was it also Eastenders?

Luke 42085 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Are you sure it did at the time, because this is how the recording saved: 2022-08-11 19:27:12.433 Info LiveTV: Will record to E:\Recorded TV Series\EastEnders\EastEnders 2022_08_11_19_30_00 - EastEnders.ts If there were numbers it would have been using season and episode numbers instead of a date in the file name. Anyway I can see the issue in your case. When the title of the episodes are the same, the server thinks they are the same episode. Easy fix is we won't do this comparison when the episode title is the same as the series title.

Luke 42085 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 OK so then I'm right about the episode title being the source of the problem. Another possible improvement is setting the season to 1 anytime there is an episode number without season number: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6441044/
