bishoph 2 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I'm running the latest version 4.7.6, and everything is working very well (live TV, library etc)... I just glanced at my server log and see all these "error processing request" entries, TONS of them, multiple ones per minute..or "error sending socket message" between two IP addresses, one of which looks like my localhost, other I'm not sure.. embyserver.txt file attached below. Any ideas? Is something wrong? embyserver.txt
Luke 42078 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Hi, have you customized any emby server network settings, and if so, which?
bishoph 2 Posted August 11, 2022 Author Posted August 11, 2022 (edited) @Luke, no not that I'm aware of...when I look at "Network" I have nothing in LAN networks, nothing in Local IP address, local http port number is 8097 (I do have another instance of Emby running on another machine on same LAN that has port 8096), local https port number 8921 (other instance using 8920).."allow remote connections to this server" checked yes, enable automatic port mapping checked yes, and that's about it. Any setting in particular I should be looking for? This other instance of Emby, I can easily delete that, it's just left over from an old machine I used to use. @Happy2Play, I do have "enable DLNA Play To" and "Enable DLNA server" checked, I don't recall doing this manually I thought this was default, but beyond that no, as far as devices connecting I only actively use Rokus and Fire TVs on my home network. I do have a smart TV that recognizes the Emby server as a DLNA I think but I never use, is it possible my Emby server is still trying to connect and I need to disable the DLNA settings and/or kill that? Thanks for the quick responses.. Edited August 11, 2022 by bishoph
bishoph 2 Posted August 11, 2022 Author Posted August 11, 2022 Just as a follow up, I tracked down the IP address that I'm getting an "error sending socket" to and it's a Directv DVR I have on my network. I obviously am not trying to use that for Emby at all, will disabling one of the DLNA server settings make the difference here?

bishoph 2 Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 @Luke I disabled the DLNA settings and yes, the errors have gone away! Thanks as always, I truly appreciate the Emby product. 1
