nijhof 0 Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 (edited) Hi! I'm running the Emby docker on my Unraid Server (Version: 6.10.3) and want to use mz GTX 1030 for hardware acceleration. Everything is set up and hwa is working in Jellyfin, but not in Emby. I tried the official Emby Server and Emby Server beta container, but nothing changed. Any help greatly appreciated. ffmpeg-transcode-fc46481f-61ec-4a3f-be50-36dab8e0fef3_1.txt Edited August 10, 2022 by nijhof
bungee91 133 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Did you try information from this thread? https://forums.unraid.net/topic/98978-plugin-nvidia-driver/

These steps seem to be unnecessary on Unraid if using the Nvidia plugin as described in the post referred to by @bungee91. 5 hours ago, bungee91 said: Did you try information from this thread? https://forums.unraid.net/topic/98978-plugin-nvidia-driver/

bungee91 133 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Uncertain what may be the cause for you, however have the same setup with an Nvidia card and it is working as expected. When I initially set it up a while ago I forgot to add the correct entry into the special parameters for the docker. Don't know if that is your issue, but wanted to mention it. Is the card listed and available in the configuration page within Emby?

Is the card listed and available in the configuration page within Emby? I'm running the emby/embyserver:latest docker, with NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES set to 'GPU-8171669c-3159-4576-b287-eb5f8b8a01fb' (my GPU ID) and NVIDIA_DRIVER_CAPABILITIES set to 'all', like described in the tutorial. Extra parameters are '--runtime=nvidia'. These are my Emby settings (Premiere is also activated): Already tried setting Transcoding thread count to Auto and several other values, as well as disabling/enabling throttling. Since Jellyfin is working fine, my hardware seems to be ok. Had Emby running on this same machine with Unraid for 2 years, and that's the only problem I encountered with it so far.
bungee91 133 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 If it's within Emby and available, then I'm of no help at this point. By chance do you have Jellyfin and Emby running, and only one of them can have the rights to use it? I don't think that's the case, I just wanted to mention it. I am currently on the Beta server, and my card is working as expected. Hope you can get it resolved.
