Synology - saved Movies in Embyserver

Hi

I have a Synology for use with Emby.
Movies were stored in a so-called "EmbyServer" folder.

But in my Synology I only find the folder: "Emby", but not "Embyserver".

I would like to access the recorded movies in "Embyserver" via my Synology?

Kind regards

Hi, where exactly are you looking? Where exactly did you put your movies?

I would advise against putting any media in the same folder in which Emby server is installed (i.e. 'EmbyServer' DSM7 or 'Emby' DSM6).  Instead create your own shared folder which is separate in case of problems and that way you can also access them using File Station.

Thank you for your answers.

Basically, I created the folder /volume1/films in the library. For some reason I don't see, Emby put the films in a folder I didn't create and called Recording. It then contains the EMBYSERVER folder. No recordings are saved in the /volume1/movies folder I created.

Does that answer your questions?

Have you tried locating the folder via winscp?

I have followed the instructions, but at one point, i don´t know what to do.

How can i create this...

Example of Windows shortcut to workspace named Media-Server

"C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSCP\WinSCP.exe" "Media-Server" /Desktop

  • Click shortcut to start WinSCP and be logged into your NAS as Superuser without any prompts

Same way you create a shortcut to any app really.  There are many ways, but what I did it was to pin WinSCP to my taskbar and then right clicked the icon and chose Properties to modify it like above.

Sorry... is too complicated for me. I'm not familiar with programming.☹️

You don't need the Windows shortcut in order to use WinSCP, that step was just optional.  If you've gotten that far just start WinSCP and access your files.

Do you want to ask @cayars to log in and move your files to another location and maybe set WinSCP up for you?

You can also send him a PM and the next time he's on then you two can schedule a time that works for both of you for him to assist remotely.

I think your problem here is the address you entered into WinSCP. Look at it in the screenshot:

"192.168.178" - that can't be right. Please try using the correct address before any remote session and let us know of the result. Thanks.

Are you sure that's the address of your NAS? What exactly happened when you tried? Maybe this video will help you?
