Emby is not ingesting my media files (audio)

Yes. I think it  was file permissions. I added Emby to the user group so it can access the files.

It was difficult to stop the server to do the update to new version. And you need to properly sign the package!

Connecting after a restart briefly flashed some cover art in the Music box, and then went blank again.

You can see some art on the library page, but the whole thing has not yet been scanned.  The Scheduled  Tasks still says 90.1%.

More printed diagnostics would really help.

HI, why do you think the package is not properly signed? I don't see any evidence of the scan being stuck. I think it's just a matter of being patient and allowing it to finish. 

The first scan when setting up the library can take a long time as it has to probe each file for media information. After that the scans should complete much quicker.

For media that has media info yes. 

But you would have to go over a specific item that is not working to include what is shown for the track via folder view.

Generally speaking it could be hit or miss, but files that have been scanned in should be playable.

How did you try to install the RPM? Our packages aren't signed, you should be able to install an unsigned RPM just fine.

With zypper. They install, but without a signature, the security of the package is iffy.

This morning it is still at 90.1%, Many many files have been ingested, but my Music is still blank.

@BJ1983tn log no really showing anything, all I can suggest is restart Emby, enable debug logging and perform a Library Scan to see if it catches what ever it is hanging on as it would suggest possibly bad media.

@Luke would the Sync every 15 or so cause this issue?

It has been many hours now since a restart and scan init, and everything is at 0%. But the log shows many albums ingested. I think it finished. But Media is still blank.

here they are. Same status today. The Music folder now has pictures on it, but is blank if I open it. I rebooted the server machine too.

Hi, the log does show that it is busy scanning new audio files. Can you try just waiting for the scan to finish? The first scan can take a long time as it is probing all of your audio files for media info. Once you get through that, subsequent scans should be much quicker.
