Problems switching from Plex to Media Browser Classic

I installed  MB3 and MBC last night but haven't been able to get it working and I'm thinking its either my mp4 files or having Plex installed as well is causing a problem.  I want to switch from Plex since it doesn't have a XBox 360 client.  The MP4 files play using DLNA on the XBox 360 but I'd rather have a full client.

The files play in WMC on the PC but with no sound.  Window media player doesn't have sound either so I think its an issue with my mp4 files but Plex is able to play it with sound on the PC and elsewhere.   The mp4s are DVD rips using handbrake and settings I found online designed for Plex.  Video is normal, Audio is Track 1: AC3 passthrough.  Track 2: AAC with Stereo mixdown 96 bitrate.  Subtitles may be there (vobsub).

Playing on XBox 360 extender is not so good.  Plays for a second and then stops.  I think the server crashes as well.

First I'd like to figure out why audio isn't working on the PC and then debug why the XBox isn't working.  Is it that I ripped the DVD into an incompatible format for MB3?  I hope not since it took about a month to rip all of the DVDs.  If so what format should I use?

MBC client artwork is truly amazing compared to Plex so I'd rather use MBC instead if I can get it to work.

Thanks

What codecs did you install on the MBC machine?  If none, go install LAV.

Then be sure you defined your library on the server using UNC paths so that the MBC machine can access the files directly instead of attempting to stream/transcode them from the server.

Haven't installed any codecs and will install LAV tonight.   The media is local on the server but I need to share it using these instructions so that the XBox 360 can access the files directly bypassing the server.   http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/703-how-to-make-unc-folder-shares/

So codecs could fix the audio issue on the PC.  And sharing the media could fix the playback issue for the XBox 360.

I was thinking maybe I had to install codecs but I would have never have thought of sharing the media to get the XBox 360 to work.

Thanks so much for your help.
