manually backup and restore media info for strm files

Hey

If you refresh metadata for strm files, the media info is being deleted and the file gets reprobed on the next first playback.

I'd like to regurlary refresh all metadata to get current ratings, so I'm looking for a way manually backing that info up and restoring it.

Taking a look at the library.db, this info seems to be stored at the MediaStreams2 table.

Would it be safe backing up that table, do a full metadata refresh on all items and restoring that table again?

sorry but if I backup and restore the WHOLE database then a prior metadata refresh doesn’t make sense at all…?

Sorry I misread. Then to answer your question, yes, I suppose in theory, but this has never been tried before.
