HawkXP71 112 Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 When there are two movies with the same name, maybe a remake of a movie, I always put the [tmdbid=XXXX] in the folder name, it works all the time. However, for "The Office" for instance, has two shows. Emby is picking up the British version, not the US version. The "TV Naming" guide https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110 doesnt mention anyway to set the tmdbid (or any of the id services) in the series folder name. What is the best solution for this?
Luke 42078 Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Hi there, how are your files named and organized?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 The Office (US) or The Office (2005) and The Office or The Office (2001)

So I would ask what providers you have enabled for Series Metadata? Can you post a server log for your try? But a last resort is you manually Identify the Series.

Maybe it doesn't; but I do it regularly for series in the same way as for movies to resolve difficult cases (in this case usually using [tvdbid=xxx] of course, or sometimes imdbid), and it has always worked for me (I can't comment on "The Office" specifically, though). Solution HawkXP71 112 Posted July 21, 2022 Author Solution Posted July 21, 2022 Tracked down my issue.. I forgot to delete the NFO files after I renamed the directory to include the tmdbid in the name... 1
