iOS 2.1.8 play button not responding

Emby app on my iphone is updated to the latest version 2.1.8, i can log to server and see all the media but cannot play anything. When i press play nothing happens.

My ipad has an older version and everything is running smooth.

maybe someone knows a trick?

edit: server is connected to internet, my phone is in airplane mode, not sure if this can be the cause

Hi there, I would check iOS permissions and make sure the app is granted access to the local network. Please see if that helps.

Hi Luke, local network was already enabled.

Friend of mine is using same server and experiences same issue.

His emby app was working good before update to 2.1.8

My server is updated to 4.7.5.0,

iphone app is 2.1.8, i can establish connection to the server and scroll all my media, see all metadata but I m unable to play anything.

in the attachment is example from one movie. Button resume or button play doesnt do anything when pressed. 
when i click on play/resume, button is activated but nothing happens afterwards.

I have a limited internet connection now, I will follow up on this thread in few days if i manage to solve it

Hi Luke,

It seems that issue is related to my network setup, and its not app version related.

if I set IP adress on my phone manually, I can press play but then pop up with emby premier shows. I have a lifetime subscription but somehow app doesnt see it. 
in the same time Tv’s and older app versions on ipads are running on the same network with auto IP and everything is working properly.

Hi @Luke still the same, although if i reset network settings and connect with auto IP to the network i get message for emby premier purchase only once. Every other time emby premier purchase pop up screen is not coming and play button is not reacting.

Hi @Luke issue is solved, after last update and restarting of iOS, I can use it both on iphone and ipad.
