One of the community members already sourced and posted intro skip code publicly anyway. It doesn't matter to me. As you wrote the original code @chef, then you say if it's public or not - what emby copied/used/derived/asked to use/didn't ask to use in their private code is imo irrelevant. We kept it closed source at the time as we knew JF were sniffing - but I see zero reason why it cannot be open source now ? 100% up to you my friend. Edited February 15, 2024 by rbjtech 3 1
chef 3810 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Sure thing. I'll make it public. No issues here. 4 3
crusher11 1101 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 A version of the IntroSkip plug-in that could create intro and credit markers without editing chapter points would be amazing.

Err.. just turn it off ? This may have confused you (the schedule) this should probably have been called core hidden markers insertion, not chapter insertion.
crusher11 1101 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 My understanding is that you have to add the chapter points first, then those are used to create the hidden markers.

I can't honestly remember, it's been a while .. I'll look a little later on or you can look yourself and let me know. Once chef has released the source (and cheese will need to as well, he wrote the chapter insertion bit) then it's easy enough to make that an option and skip it..
Oratorian 41 Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 (edited) Seems like ChapterAPI is not made to work with Beta version, when trying to extract the croma fingerprints or even the intro audio. It just displays "Access token is invalid or expired." The Addressbar has the api_key but its 'null' and there is no setting to set it for the plugin. If i set eit manually with one of the keys, Audiofiles are still 0kb .. Edited March 22, 2024 by Oratorian
TeamB 2438 Posted March 22, 2024 Author Posted March 22, 2024 its probably a change in the JS APIs. Still getting over the last beta release cycle, I won't be touching the Beta for at least 12 months.
TeamB 2438 Posted March 28, 2024 Author Posted March 28, 2024 This should be fixed the the latest version. - fix play icon display - fix access token errors 1
Oratorian 41 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 when i try to extract the intro audio, they are all 0bytes

podonnell 47 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Hi, Just getting this plugin and have a few questions: 1) I had Premiere, is this the same Detect Intros feature that was running 'behind the scenes', or a new method? Do I have to worry about interferencing with what is built in if not? On the Options page there are options for processing new episodes, but that is off. So I'm guessing the built in Intro detection is different, and to use this I would need to enable these checkboxes? 2) I got this because one of my shows did not seem to have its intros detected. I went to the Intro Detect page but it seems to want me to submit intro data. It mentions a file or a DB -- is the 'Intro Data External Url' what that is referring to that I may need to load? If there is documentation on this that can help with the above, that would be wonderful. Thank you!
