MB Theater isn't going to run on your 360. That is a function of Windows Media Center.  You could use a client to push to the 360 with DLNA I think though.

Can MBT and MBC exist on the same client computer? I am interested to test Theater, but use WMC as DVR, so Classic still appeals.

I am new here and confused.  I can watch all channels on my win7 server in WMC or MBT.  I can also watch all live channels on MBS thru the web browser.

I just installed MBT on my Win8.1 laptop hooked to the tv with HDMI.  When I go to MBT, there's a channels and what's on now but no guide.  When I try to watch Thursday night football....not worth watching so far...I get a record button but no play button.  In the HD Homerun prime setup the local CBS channel doesn't have drm set...so why can't I watch it, only record it.  From the Win8.1 laptop same deal thru the browser, I can only record it but not watch it.

Along the same line, is there supposed to be an EPG in WBT?  I am going to try WBC with WMC.

MBT is still in the development stages, while MBC is a much more mature product.

It looks like there is a big update to MBT coming down the line. This will add Live TV, I believe.

Regarding 'Channels' in MBT, this actually refers to plugins, rather than LiveTV channels.

Although you can indeed run both MBC/MBT side by side without issue, it sounds like MBC is currently better suited to your needs.

Does WBC have to run on the machine with WMC?  I ask because my server is in my office and I want to use the laptop in the great room as a 'cable box' and movie streamer for saved movies.  I tried to install WBC, but it fails and says something is missing in \windows\e(I can't remember the path but it's where WMC is installed if it were).

If you mean MBC, then yes, it is a plug-in for WMC.
