Emby for Samsung Tizen "Newer version available" but is not

Hi,

 

Emby for Tizen 1.2.9 is installed and it tells me there is a newer version available, so i downloaded the newest but it is still the same version and the message shows up again.

FYI The update message in the app isn't tied to what's really available on GitHub.  It's automatically set to go off a few days before the app expires and usually Luke has an update out before the message pops-up and all is good.  This is so you can update before it is disabled.

The date of the last update was 27 days ago, so hopefully Luke uploads a new one in the next 3 days.

ah ok, i thought the app is checking the version in a file online and compares it.

Yeah hopefully he updates or we can't use emby anymore

Just press return when you get the message and keep using it.  It will be fine for a bit longer before the Samsung expiry takes effect

What then when Samsung expiry takes effect ???  will during this time new version come out??

It is 30 days after publishing. We'll always get a new update out before this happens.

@Lukethe current version is already reporting expired, which feels early but we probably need a new release.
