Daniel_breder 1 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 I was having content freezing problems, and they improved when I reduced the bitrate limit to 2. I would like to know the best value I should set in my server, so that freezes don't occur and I don't have a loss of quality in my content. Also, what other settings can I edit on the server to improve streaming videos?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 That is really impossible to say as everyone's connection speed will/could be different. ISP and Cellular data can be throttled and different levels. Just like seeing my cell data fluctuate from 0.1 Mbps to 10+ Mbps depending on the time of day.

Why you asked this? Is it correct to say that the lower the value, the fewer freezes will occur? (consequently the movie will run in lower quality)

Lower bitrate means fewer freezes but more server transcoding, so it is a trade-off.

Considering that I have only 5 active users in my emby, and I use the server on a computer with good specs, and 16 gb of memory, I believe it is the best solution.. 1
