Can't connect to server after power outage

While on vacation, we had a power outage.  My son who was house sitting at the time saw the computer was off and started it, it showed the blue screen indicating it had not been shut down correctly and to restart.  He restarted it and after that both Emby and Plex would not work.   When I got home I checked and saw that the attached hard drives had been assigned new letters, so the folders were not being found.   I am not sure how many days it had been that way, at least 5.   I fixed the drive letters and on the servers the media was there again.   Plex worked fine but the Emby server would not connect on any of our smart TVs.   I went into McAfee and opened the ports 8096 but that still didn't work.  I have attached the logs from one of the days I was trying to figure out how to get it to work.   I deleted the server from my Roku TV and tried to add it new and that still would not work.  I can play the media on the PC that holds the server.  What should I do to get the Emby to connect to our TVs.   We will be upgrading our internet provider and getting rid of Direct TV so will rely more on the media server in the future.

Hi.  Did the IP address for the machine change?  Is the LAN address shown on the dashboard correct?  What happens if you type that into a web browser on a different machine?

Not sure if the IP changed but I did directly input the IP and port into the Roku TV to try and access the server manually and that did not work either.   I have not tried it on one of our laptops but I did try it on the desktop and after hitting enter, it brought up the log on screen and allowed me to watch videos..

Please try that on a web browser not on the same machine as the server.

It sounds like a Firewall is likely blocking access.  What is the address that is shown in the LAN field on the server?

If no other device on your LAN can connect, there is a firewall issue on the host.

I would delete all Emby firewall rules in Windows and Mcafee for Emby, shut down Emby and go to the system.xml and change <IsPortAuthorized> to false, save and start Emby.

But could be a host network Public/Private setting also with current rules.

I was not able to locate the systeem.xml file to change that setting.   I did happen to find that the McCAfee software updated on 7/6 while we were on vacation so I am not not sure if it has worked since that update as no one was here to test it after that.

Hi, where did you look for it?

In my C drive under users.   I did contact Mcafee as well and they remoted into my machine and tested some things. When the firewall is turned off Emby works. That guy wasn’t able to fix it so it got bumped to level 2, still waiting on their call back.   We are converting to a new internet provider this week so if it is still being blocked after that, will switch to a different firewall provider.

Ok let us know how you get on. Thanks.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back.   The McAfee Level 2 tech finally called while I was home and able to let them remote into the computer.   All he did was reset to default settings and Emby was available on all devices again.

thanks for all the help
