Emby No Longer Starts After 4.7.5.0 Update

Hello,

After a recent Emby update, I'm finding Emby no longer starts up (completely), and according to logs is stopping around "CodecManager: CodecList" with nothing more written after that.

I've reinstalled Emby (4.7.5.0) and ensured all Windows patches are applied. I've also tried making the account emby is running under an administrator on the server.

I've attached my logs to see if anyone might have some pointers on troubleshooting this.

What non-default plugins have you got installed/enabled?  It may be necessary to remove them manually to get back in action.  Then ensuring that the latest version is installed may be required.

HI, does anything show up in windows event viewer about a possible crash? It looks like you installed the portable build manually under windows program files, but are you sure Emby Server has write access to this location?

Data path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Emby-Server\programdata

The windows program files directory is normally readonly, which would be a big problem for Emby Server if it can't write any data to it's data folder.
