Server,Port connect vs Email, Password connect. What's deference?

Hello. Suppose i have created a media server with hard drive. And i have 50 subscriber. 

Now i want to provide them access. THERE are 2 options i noticed 

1. Connect with Server and Port

2. Connect with Email and Password. 

What's the deference Between it?

If i use Server,Port option then does the device limit count?

If you use 2., you don't have to know server IP:port.

That is irrelevant, devices counted against device limit are those that use Premiere-only features, regardless of connection method.

Suppose i have 50 subscribers. Now i want to give them access to my content. Can i do it with option 2 ? 

Actually i want to provide specific content access to specific customer.

Each one of those has to have Emby Connect account associated/linked with one local user on your server.

You do that through server Access control (folder-based, tag-based, parental ratings...) for specific user, not through connection method.

Simply click New User and add those 50 Emby Connect account? Right?

You'll create 50 new local users and then link each one with their respective Connect account.

And i want to use Server and Port for each users login.

 

I mean when you want to login on Plex Android app. You should put Server and Port then click Connect. (I will provide you server and port info)

How can i do it?

Then you don't need Connect.
