VernoxVernax 4 Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 It seems like the "passwordmd5" and "password" (sha1) option has been removed a few years ago. Does that mean authenticating is only possible through plain text passwords? I would like to save my login data for my script and not re-login, each time sessions/tokens get flushed, what are my options?

If "calling the api on https" is what you mean, then thats what I'm already doing. The question was meant for security on the client. I don't want to save my credentials in plain text, but I guess that doesnt have anything to do with emby anymore. Thank you for clearing things up.
