RussMcFall 0 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) I have a folder named \TV. Under that folder there are Television shows. There are a couple of folders with names like \TV\FAMILY and \TV\WESTERNS. Under these folder are television show of that nature. Emby does not recognize these as being only a folder. It did prior to yesterday. No the television shows in this sub folder are not found. Is there a setting to flag a sub folder as just that, a sub folder? Thank you Russ \TV \TV\DRAMA <-- not recognized as a sub folder of tv shows \TV\WESTERNS <-- not recognized as a sub folder of tv shows \TV\GET SMART Edited June 25, 2022 by RussMcFall not completed
GrimReaper 4749 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Hi there, what exactly is the issue, as it is hard to surmise from that description alone? Could you provide some more details?
RussMcFall 0 Posted June 25, 2022 Author Posted June 25, 2022 The television shows within the sub folder are not recognized as television shows. The sub folder name, for example of \TV\WESTERN, which contains a large number of western tv name folders. Emby takes the folder name as an unknown television show and and groups ALL the sub folders and shows as one giant television show. The details are lost. The actual individual tv shows are not found or shown. Thank you Russ
GrimReaper 4749 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) Yeah, when you mix simple and complex folder structure you might expect results like that, the simpler you keep it less likely you'll encounter issues. My advice would be to pull those multi-show subfolders out of your parent TV Shows folder and and them separately as additional library paths. Edited June 25, 2022 by GrimReaper
RussMcFall 0 Posted June 25, 2022 Author Posted June 25, 2022 It appears the when i placed one documentary tv show in the root folder of \TV\WESTERN, it confused emby and made it think the entire folder and sub folders were part of a series. I remove the one video and copied everything else to a new folder. Then did the "scan library files". That put everything back to where it should be. Case closed. Thanks
Luke 42083 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Hi, can you show us the exact contents of each of them? Thanks.
