musicmafia 38 Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Prior to moving all my media files to a new drive with a different drive path, I read through some threads here which suggested that if "Metadata Readers" and "Metadata Savers" were checked, the process would go smoother. So I checked those boxes prior to migration and the new library location loaded quickly and everything looks right to me. Whew! That process placed .nfo files in all my media folders (which doesn't bother me). I don't really understand any of this stuff but my questions are about optimal settings: Should I just leave everything set this way (using the nfo files method) or should I uncheck and only use this method if I change drives again? Am I still getting data from the database sources or just from the nfo files? Are my "Movie Metadata Downloader" settings and "Image fetcher" settings optimal? (I think these were default settings since I don't know one from the other). If not, any recommended settings or tweaks are appreciated. I am new to streaming but loving it so far. Thanks

Those NFOs are read and written to db. Any change thereafter is written back in NFOs. 55 minutes ago, musicmafia said: Are my "Movie Metadata Downloader" settings and "Image fetcher" settings optimal?
