Continue watching and latest movies are not updating at all

Im talking about the apple tv  home screen. If Emby is in the top row you can go up and continue watching or select latest movies.

I have reinstalled the Emby app a few times.

My server in on a Windows PC.

It never updates after the first login and never updates when switching profiles.

And new movies never show up and continue watching never updates

I have 5 profiles and it only updates for one profile it seems? and its always the same one

Hi, by profile do you mean a user on your Emby Server?

Continue watching is separate for each user. Or are you talking about Apple Top Shelf? Does that answer your question?

Apple top shelf it won’t update even it I change user.  I see that it just was updated

Hi @Lukeany updates on this? Still seeing this as an issue. I just bought an Apple TV but the emby experience has been very disappointing on the Apple TV. I don’t see anything under continue watching show continue. Watching but nothing under it.

Hi there ,what do you see under continue watching in the web app?

All the correct shows! But under the Apple TV there was nothing so I did a force close and open and they show but seems like I have to do a force close of the app to get updates. I noticed that when I back out of a movie and show it still playing while I’m in the emby menu

What do you see inside the Emby apple TV app?

Hi. I'm having this exact same issue!

Apple TV top shelf shows things properly. But the Emby app does not have all 'continue watching' shows (It has a couple but is missing two others that the web interface and Emby Theater shows).

I also have the issue where audio doesn't stop playing unless I exit the Emby app.

I moved a couple weeks ago from hosting Emby on Synology to hosting it on Windows, like the OP. That's when the problems started. So, it might be a server-side issue?

Of course! Here are three pics: emby_web for the web interface and emby_theater for the theater interface. Both of these are fine. 

I took a photo of Emby on Apple TV, where you can see that it is only showing two of the four 'continue watching' items. Interestingly I just realized that the Apple TV is showing the two series, but not the two movies.

I am seeing this on both of my Apple TVs by the way. Reinstalling/re-logging didn't help.

Just an FYI: I was suspecting Windows as the culprit, so I spun up an Emby instance on a docker container running on Ubuntu. Both issues persisted, so I don't think it's server-side.
