SideCar 4 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I see that this issue has been brought up numerous times, but I've not seen this particular info added so I'm dropping a new thread. I'm having the (apparently common) issue of images not updating properly in audiobook libraries after new embedded cover art is added in a media file. No amount of scanning, refreshing, deleting & re-adding, vacuuming, loud use of harsh language, etc., etc. will cause Emby to grab new artwork for an audiobook. After messing with it a ton, I've noticed that Emby is not calling ffmpeg during an audiobook library metadata refresh. It does call ffprobe to get the other the metadata but I can see no evidence in the logs that ffmpeg is being invoked to grab new cover art regardless of whether the "Replace existing images" is checked in the refresh metadata dialogue. I'm assuming that this is not intended behavior and that we should be pulling new embedded cover art with ffmpeg when replace images is called for during a refresh so . . . ???? Am I missing something or is this a bug? Thanks. 1
