Helo! I recently saw the new skip intro feature but im strugling to get it to work.
I set the option to generate intro video markers when media is added at first and updated library but that was crazy slow (like 0.1% each 5 minutes) while resources usage was realy low (cpu, disk and memory) so im not sure why it was so slow!
Also im missing all images from libraries, the only ones that are visibles are the external ones (image file stored next to media).
Im not sure if there is an update procedure i didnt follow, i just updated the docker image and recreated the container.

Update: I tried refreshing metadata for those items specificaly and it didnt work (with replace images enabled), all items had an image before the update.

Be patient this is slow and it seams that emby doesn't want to bog down your server...

Eventually (over 3 days in my case) it gives sweet results.

@TMCsw is there a log specifically for these ? My instance appears to be sitting still, nothing in the logs to indicate it is analysing intro's and cant see a scheduled task for the intro analyze either

 

EDIT: See a full library scan is importing now - weird as this was actually a test instance and the episodes were added after the setting was enabled so they werent scanned on import

Is this data stored anywhere outside the DB ? Ideally it would be great for this to be in the nfo file so library doesnt need to rescan every time you move to a new server etc ?

It's in the database, but alternative storage is possible for future updates. Thanks.

I believe it's in the embyserver.txt here is a recent addition.

Also you should see the progress bar on Dashboard and Scheduled Tasks as part of "Scan media library"

Note to @Luke could the percentage complected be put on the Dashboard progress bar as this task seams to go quickly into the 90+% then moves very slowly after...

HI, regarding intros, I would just wait for the upcoming 4.7.3 release as it will have fixes for that. Thanks.
