Currently installing emby server on docker container is not possible . For that we have to use the official docker image of Emby server. I want to use rclone to mount the Google drive where my media is stored. Can I do this in the Official docker image of Emby server? If no then please can you make a apt-get install emby server. It would solve the problem of dpkg error returned 1.

Or maybe make some other way to install it on a Ubuntu Docker Image .

I am in the same situation, having the same issue. On a Docker image with Ubuntu, AMD architecture; using the Ubuntu AMD installation does not work. Getting the same

installed emby-server package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

and it is not installed.

Looking at the OP's post history, it seems he is phrasing his issue wrong; he wants to install the server on a Docker image of Ubuntu (and is running into my issue), but says it as if he wants to install the Docker image itself.

I want a media server. Ubuntu image is best for this purpose. I can just install rclone and other stuffs and then upload the image to docker hub to pull. The problem is that In ubuntu it uses dpkg. Which is a problematic mechanism to screw us 😐. I want to host media server on a Host like Heroku and railways.
