C.S. 93 Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 "Database cache size" - is the limit 1024? "Analysis row limit" - default is 400, but what would I put here if I wanted definite overkill, but still not complete insanity? 1
kikinjo 281 Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Think there is no limit, limit is your RAM on system. Increase gradually and see the performance, talking about cache size. I m using 2048, with a lot of content, it is working really good.
LindsayCole 0 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 As someone with a 1.9GB database, I would love to know the ideal settings for this. I've got my row limit set to 1250, and my cache size to 4096MB. I did see a performance improvement with these settings. Would like to know if I could benefit from going higher on either value?
adrianwi 279 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Should I be worrying that my database is 125.73GB I've got a cache size of 1024 and 750 row limit and performance is pretty good. Application and database both running from SSDs, with media on HDD NAS.

You can set them as high as you're willing to go when taking into account the costs or tradeoffs that are mentioned in the help text underneath each option.
Seger 123 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 My database is >200gb off the top of my head, interesting discussion. My database is also on an SSD. Is the RAM always faster? Have 16gb of which only 8gb is needed for my server. I can also play around. But will it only be perceived speed or is there a way to measure it?

I don't think I would trust putting the database on a ramdisk. 1

At the risk of going off topic here a bit; how is your database that large? How large of a library do you have?
