update iTunes library's play count

Is it possible to update iTunes' library where Emby has played a song, I imagine not as emby isn't linked to iTunes so doesn't know what it's playing etc unless its streaming it from iTunes etc.

It would be nice to use Emby as my player for music that will then sync back to iTunes, I'm one of those weirdo's who has an unplayed music Smart Playlist in iTunes to sync with my phone so when I'm driving I can listen to random songs to rediscover song's I haven't listened to since losing an iTunes library etc. 

It would be great if this could work between the two, i've used a dlna server in the past which pulled the iTunes library and streamde it across the network which updated the play count though i realise their is quite a difference between an Emby Music Library and iTunes and/or DLNA.
