ssybesma 0 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 The metadata feature went crazy and put a bunch of incorrect data into my folders and I want to wipe it out permanently and prevent that feature from working until I can figure out how to control it. It's going strictly based on name and I have my own naming convention for folders. Steve

Luke 42083 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 HI there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.
ssybesma 0 Posted June 5, 2022 Author Posted June 5, 2022 Hello Luke, I have Star Trek TOS videos that I ripped myself as MKV files divided up on 4 folders: Enhanced, Original, Trailer and Extra The automatic feature in Emby that downloads metadata decided the folders contained TV shows that were related to the folder names I chose that had nothing to do with Star Trek. So I would prefer that no metadata be downloaded automatically and I prefer to have control over what metadata gets applied to any folders or video files. Apart from that Emby works great so far. It plays files on my Roku that Roku Media Player has problems with. Steve
ssybesma 0 Posted June 6, 2022 Author Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) I decided to uninstalll and reinstall Emby after I deleted the programdata folder which contains the cache and metadata folders. (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata) I then disabled all metadata after reinstalling and it's working the way I want for now. Edited June 6, 2022 by ssybesma
Luke 42083 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Quote So I would prefer that no metadata be downloaded automatically OK, this you can already configure in the options for each of your Emby libraries.
