fxwegr 6 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 My book library is physically implemented as a folder structure with several subfolders, some of which are deeply staggered. Subfolders e.g. for fiction, politics, electrical engineering and other areas. When I physically move a book from one subfolder to another, after a library rescan, the metadata for the book is gone. Is there a way around this? NFO files for the Books library are unfortunately not provided!?
Luke 42077 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Hi, what metadata disappears? There isn't really much to begin with at this stage.
fxwegr 6 Posted June 5, 2022 Author Posted June 5, 2022 All the text data shown in the screenshot disappears, but not the images (cover, background).

OK then this is expected because there's currently no nfo support for books, but it's certainly possible for future updates. Thanks.
fxwegr 6 Posted June 5, 2022 Author Posted June 5, 2022 That means: I can do without a feature request?

fxwegr 6 Posted June 6, 2022 Author Posted June 6, 2022 Thank you for being so accommodating. It would be ideal if the new logic would work in such a way that, in the presence of a corresponding database entry, it would automatically create the NFO file. - My Books Liberay contains more than 2000 titles..... Thanks
