chjohans 34 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 The Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD is a dual tuner USB stick, I've used it with the WinTV app (which is installed for Emby support), TV Mosaic, NextPVR and others and all detected it's two tuners. But not Emby, when I add it as a tuner under "Live TV" it only lists 1 source. And when Emby is busy recording a program, I get the error message "No compatible streams are currently available" when I try to watch Live TV through Emby. As soon as the recording is done I can watch Live TV again. What's up with this? Can Emby really not use the two tuners? And how about the nextpvr plugin, it seems to have the same issue? The TV Mosaic plugin can use both tuners through TV Mosaic, but I'm migrating *away* from TV Mosaic for obvious reasons (no more support since DVBLogic closed shop). Sigh, always two more issues when I think I have solved one! :)
emveepee 132 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 The NextPVR plugin definitely will use two tuners, unfortunately Emby considers that there are an infinite number of tuners available until recording time so it only lists one. There is also bug in how Emby frees the tuners when tuning and Emby doesn't always release them properly. Martin
Luke 42078 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Hi, that's just the way it gets displayed during live tv setup. Regarding playback, let's look at an example: Thanks.
chjohans 34 Posted June 3, 2022 Author Posted June 3, 2022 I'll test some more first and get back to this, now that I knows Emby can see both tuners, thanks 1
