Available Offline Question

I am getting ready to purchase an iPad Air and am trying to decide between the 64GB and 256GB versions.  Offline content from Emby during flights is about the only time I foresee needing local storage accept for ebooks and digital comics.  If I want to save a movie or episode for offline viewing at "high" or "medium" quality, how much space can I expect them to take up once converted?

Also, what is the process for removing that content from the iPad once it has been watched?

@vmcosco, usually it's a portion of the original size. So for example, higher or original quality will take roughly a similar amount of space as the original file. Medium will be something less than that.

If you download individual videos, this will be a manual process. If you download at the series level, then there are options to automate this when you setup the download.
