emby stuck on local server page when no internet available

As long as internet is available, emby works fine but when internet is offline and only the router/modem (wifi) is working the server (laptop) and client (Android TV) although both remain connected to the same wifi network: emby starts & asks for server and then user to be selected but then no matter how many times i select the user or input correct password nothing happens. absolutely no response on android tv.

I have tried restarting emby server and emby app on android tv several times and power cycling both the device but still no result. as soon as internet became online, it started working again. It only needs server access via router then why it not working while internet is down (internet is used only to refresh metadata).

Server: windows 11 and emby is version 4.7.1.0

client: andoid 11 tv with latest emby app from play store (TCL 4k)

That sounds you're connecting remotely (even if on same LAN); have you tried manually inserting local IP and port?

How long are you waiting on that screen there upon selecting user/inserting password? It can take up to 30-40 secs in those conditions before Home Screen actually shows up, as it has been reported few times (by myself, amongst others, as my setup is often offline).

@GrimReaper I've definitely waited more then a few minutes before retrying each time, Also tried restarting emby server and the host machine as well as restarting android tv. 

absolutely nothing happens, just keeps showing "user" screen. This appears after selecting server on the tv and inputting credentials, that means credentials are accepted that is why it takes to the user screen. Upon pressing "enter" button from tv remote it just flashes (user icon logo box) and then nothing really happens even after a few minutes.

Hi.  Can you navigate at that point?  If so, wait about 60 seconds and then use the "Send Logs" button on that screen.  Then come back here and tell me exactly what time you did that.
