Snaretv 0 Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Hi, I've seen a few posts re: Android server not being able to scan library files nor play. My current server setup is on the Galaxy S20+ with Android 12. I can't make anything play. I get the dreaded "playback error, no compatible streams" message. Won't work on on my newer Roku TV's either, where playback on the Roku Media Player using a USB direct connection works fine. I've tried various file locations (internal, SD) with standard labeling, including using CX file manager to put a folder directly into the com.emby.embyserver folder. An Emby server powered by a newer Galaxy phone is an exciting prospect...if I can get it to work. I'm testing using a 2160p x265 sample of Blade Runner, but all my 1080p and 720p files (x264, x265) give me the same result. The Galaxy can play the same file with no problems when played directly using VLC. The Ffmpeg log is included. Any help would be appreciated! ffmpeg-transcode-72dd7023-b949-4b1f-a743-116affaaf62a_1.txt
Luke 42077 Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 HI, please try updating to Emby Server 4.7.1 and see if that helps. Thanks.
Snaretv 0 Posted May 29, 2022 Author Posted May 29, 2022 Newest update, same problem. Here's the logs. Thanks for the help! ffmpeg-transcode-cc0beeb8-467f-4252-ab9c-4deedc6bb280_1.txt embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Hi, we are still working on Android 12 support for the Android Emby Server. Thanks. 1
