Because if you are please help me with my issue that is driving me crazy.. What's the issue ? If it's related to an install of the support apps on linux or a nas, then I probably can't help you as I don't have those platforms to test, but anything related to the DLL I should be able to help.

But thank you for the reply

But thank you for the reply If you turn on debug logging and post the log (PM if you like), it's been coded to write the error codes from the support apps - this will likely tell us where it's failing. 9/10 times it's because of permissions as exclusive write is needed on the MKV files.

keemy 25 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Something minor but when I have a file with [Extended Cut] in the filename I get the following output - 4K DV7 HDR10 {Extended Cut} {Extended} [43.7Mb/s] Remux. This was for Avatar (2009). Would prefer it to just have {Extended Cut} 1

Would prefer it to just have {Extended Cut} Yep - I noticed this too - it's just counting Extended Cut twice as Extended is also a valid lookup - I just haven't got around to fixing it yet but will do so in the next release - thanks for raising as a bug .. string[] Edition = new string[] { "Extended Cut", "Director's Cut", "Directors Cut", "Special Edition", "Extended Edition", "Extended", "Ultimate Edition", "Ultimate Cut", "IMAX", "Anniversary Edition", "Despecialized Edition", "Remastered", "Final Cut" }; Edited September 16, 2024 by rbjtech 1
keemy 25 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Seeing the values that are supported just brought a few to mind that I haven't seen in the plugin. "Unrated" "Rogue Cut" "Alternate Ending" "Theatrical Cut" "Open Matte" "Super Duper Cut". Some of these are niche as I have only seen them for singular movies like rogue cut for x-men and super duper for deadpool but would love if you would consider adding them. 1

Had a spare few minutes so .. v1.0.1.43 - Fixed the duplicate edition label (+ Tag) bug & added Unrated and Theatrical Cut - the others are likely one off's/niche as you say - so I didn't include them. EasyCodex 1 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I have a question and what should be put in MKVPropEdit File Path when I have Linux?
EasyCodex 1 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 (edited) I have Ubuntu 24.04 for reasons that the Nvidia did not work for me. Edited September 18, 2024 by EasyCodex

keemy 25 Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 I noticed on v1.0.1.43 that the usual audio and video tags are getting added to tagline at the series level. Individual episodes still have the usual tags. Is this intended behavior?

The idea being that you can see the 'quality' of the show without needing to go into the Seasons and/or Episodes. Yes, each episode 'may' be a different quality - but the majority of people will have/want the same quality across all the seasons/shows. ie all 4K, all HD 1080p etc It gets the detail from S1E1 - and uses that. Seasons and Episodes don't have the tagline field - thus it's not used for those. I should probably create a toggle to turn this on/off - but I find it VERY useful when looking at TV series to see what quality it is - another 'Emby missing detail' that this plugin can provide .. As per the error - you are using MKVToolNix (mkvpropedit) v87 which is not supported as it (not the plugin) corrupts the mkv files. Either use and earlier or later version and there should be no issues.

Yes making this optional is preferred. I see the usefulness but personally not a fan of the text aesthetic. Maybe if it was icons but I know that's probably outside of the scope of the plugin. To be clear I like having tags for episodes and find them very useful especially for filtering through my library but just not a fan of the tagline description.

Icons would be nice - Luke originally looked into this but then it never went anywhere .. thus my 'hack' to at least give you the info. Edited September 19, 2024 by rbjtech 1

Will it still change the library file import date? thx!! From the Plugin catalogue - it's no longer updated - but I posted a custom/updated version on 17th Sept - (see above) so it does get updates from me. re does it change the import date - a good question that hasn't been asked before - the MKV is modified - so I *think* Emby will see that as a change and effectively re-import the file, hence changing the date. edit - actually - no it doesn't because if it already exists it keeps the original added date. Thus you do not get them shown as 'new' items - which is I believe the desired action. Edited October 8, 2024 by rbjtech corrected myself .. 1
MrLinford 62 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I use the Time Lord plugins to set the import date to the release date. Quote TimeLord movies allows you to set the date added for Movies to the original premier date set in the metadata for items in your collection. This is useful when adding old movies to your collection, as it prevents theses 'New' Movies from dominating your recently added list. 1

rbjtech 5284 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 v1.0.1.44 Added option to set the Add Date to the Premier Date for each item processed. Applies to all new items going forward, any reprocessed items or all items should you wish to reset them all. Emby.MediaInfo.dll
