Looks good - you set the tag option 👍 - once it's finished, you should see all codecs as searchable/filterable options in the Tag dropdown.

You 'may' need to do a library scan afterwards, but this may not be necessary.

Enjoy.

btw - if you haven't set this already, then I also suggest you do so - as this will display all the track names/formatting you specified in the plugin directly from the MKV files.

In order to reprocess one specific upgraded movie I need the emby movie id.

why can I not see that id via browser or Android app. where is it?

thanks!!!

and why does it have to be so complicated all the time ;)

Okay, the docker container does not hold the dependencies so with my method you have to run the script every time.

@SimCitytook what I did a step further. Check his guide here: https://github.com/SimCity/emby-mediainfo-plugin-prereq

This is a Linuxserver Docker Mod, so will run automatically every time the container restarts or updates.

I created a script you can run within the container I shared, should be a GitHub link.

Run the whole thing.

so now there's an Linux emby docker update im still a bit lost. sorry!!

my whole container looks exactly like your github compose description (other uid of course..)

does that mean I can just update emby now?

or do I  need to ssh something again?

what do you mean with run the whole script? you mean docker compose?

but it's already there everything good I'm only talking about an upgrade :(

Just use a web browser - and the id will be shown there as part of the URL. ie

Would like to try this plugin. Looked through the Wiki does the Emby server need to be running on a Windows local machine? I have my Emby running on Qnap does anyone have any setup guide for Emby on Qnap?

I looked through the Wiki so do I install all the tools on my windows PC and in the Emby server do I put to my PC where the tools are installed

The tools relevant to your platform need to be installed alongside the emby server.   I believe the wiki explains this - if your platform is not there, then unfortunately the external tools are likely not available for that platform.

Has anyone had their MKV files corrupted after using this plugin?

Out of 6700 files, about 150 had their MKV header corrupted, resulting in the files thinking their is no audio.

Luckily I had backups.

I thought maybe the original files were corrupt, but I scanned and recreated MKV from the backups and there are no errors.

Using Emby 4.8 on Synology DSM 7.2, and latest plugin.

Any ideas?

Check the version of mkvpropedit - there was a case a while back where it corrupted the MKV's (not the plugin per say) but we ensured that version was detected and removed.   If you have not overwritten the mkvpropedit check, then there is no reports of corrupt MKV's.

After the restore, try an individual file to see if you can re-produce.  If you can then maybe share one with me (pm) and I'll see if I can re-produce as all the plugin does is pass a command line to mkvpropedit itself to modify the file header title tracks.
