I have a UN65HU8550 with OneConnect box. Has always played 4k HDR content direct play no issues. After updating to 1.2.8. same movies are now transcoding citing "video resolution not supported". I have deleted the app, and reinstalled the 1.2.7 version and its back to playing those same 4k movies direct play, any idea what could be causing that in 1.2.8?

Evolution kit thinks it's a 2015 running Tizen 2.3

I don't see anything in the log about 1.2.8 though, just 1.2.7 (which should be expiring soon).  Do you know what time this was?

I have a KS7500 series TV.

Yesterday i updated to 1.2.8 and have also problems with 4k content.

Some videos won't load. After pressing 'play' nothing happens - just the circle is turning and  the EMBY app freezes). No information about this operation in log file.

Video it starts up once in (maybe) 20 times (with transcoding, no direct play)

Can you check that the playback quality setting is set to auto and then please attach another log file after a test?  Thanks

Today i tested on my family TV (app ver 1.2.7) same video and works well. Tomorrow i'll update to 1.2.8 and i'll check that is problem with app version or device.
Can i downgrade to 1.2.7?

No, you can't downgrade but I'm sure you won't see a problem with 1.2.8.

I will try 1.2.8 on Friday, I believe I had it set to 4k-100mps; and I can try auto and report back.

Then why video 4K on version 1.2.7 working and 1.2.8 not working?

I install with the USB, and keep at least files 10 versions back in case I need to go back and test, rarely have ever had to do it . You would need to delete and install from usb.

Hi, so have you confirmed that it is not working with 1.2.8?

Can you please attach the ffmpeg logs?

Unfortunately these won’t work as the expiry is built into the package by Samsung.

yesterday I managed to run the file (on version 1.2.8) but only with transcoding (I'm almost sure that it was direct before) and it stuttered every now and then ... additionally the subtitles did not work properly - the inscription appeared (X-TIMESTAMP-MAP).

File in attachment.

you can see how it looks in emby:

and how when i play raw .mkv via TV:

Don't worry about the log.  I can see the problem.  It's fixed for the next update.

ok so you see the issue, what did you find? I'd rather stay on 1.2.7 until its fixed in next version.

See how long you can stay on it.  Please let us know if 1.2.7 stops working.
