raudraido 48 Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 (edited) Browser emby playback stops and console shows HLS Error Edge console Chrome colsole Seems that Firefox does not have that problem. It still throws "bufferFullError Fatal" errors but no "bufferAppendingError" and keeps playing. Also playback resumes in chrome/edge when choosing lower quality/bitrate. ffmpeg-remux-b7b18dba-501b-4d3c-a403-a987a698ee2c_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-4cbd8a5e-8d99-4e31-9433-e3524c7ead17_1.txt embyserver.txt Edited May 26, 2022 by raudraido

karlshea 8 Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 (edited) I'm getting the same in Chrome 102 and Firefox 100 (Mac) with transcoded 4k videos, but FF is not resuming. FF error: Media resource blob:https://my.domain:8920/691b90a2-a115-4903-ba23-38786fbdb1b8 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_FATAL_ERR (0x806e0005) There are no errors in the emby log or transcode log but I could post them if that would be helpful. Server is Docker on Ubuntu. Safari 15.5 is also getting a transcoded HLS video, but playback works just fine. Edited May 28, 2022 by karlshea
KarmaPolice 16 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) @Luke: I'm getting this issue as well... Emby Version: 4.17.13.0 (running in k3s container) Browser: Edge V. 115.0.1901.200 (64-bit) Erroring File: htmlmediahelper.js?v=4.7.13.0:1 1080p - 60Mbps, 50Mbps, 40Mbps all throw the same error, though backing off to 30Mbps works around it and plays fine... not sure why this is. Additionally, playing the same file through Emby Theater (instead of browser) does not throw this error even at 60Mbps. HLS Error: Type: mediaError Details: bufferFullError Fatal: false Reason: HLS Error: Type: mediaError Details: bufferAppendingError Fatal: false Reason: Let me know if I can get you anything or do anything to help diagnose...
