I lost my webgui for the server admin portion and I also lost new pictures and stuff being cataloged on upload. I did the database stuff listed here:https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44002210894-corrupt-database

Now my emby has nothing configured when loading except livetv and iptv. I still do not have the server admin area available to re-setup my datastores.

this happened with 4.7.0.40

hi @deeproot are you saying you deleted your library database file? If so then you'll need to run a scan of all libraries in order to re-populate it. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Yes. I deleted the database file. I can not access the admin area of the webgui to run any scans or change configuration. When I log in with emby user it behaves like a normal user account. This is what prompted me to start this journey

HI, why do you think it behaves like a normal user? Did you try clicking the gear icon in the upper right?

When I click the gear top right I get:

Home

App Settings emby web 4.7.0.60

Change user

Sign out

There is no server settings / server admin (I cant remember exactly what it used to say)

Are you sure that you're signed in as your admin user?

Yes.

Also my database did rebuild itself over night so only thing that is wrong is I dont have the admin area.

just checked policy.xml and

  <IsAdministrator>true</IsAdministrator>
is still set on the user.

Can you try clearing browsing data and/or logging in with a different browser to see if that makes a difference? Thanks.

I was able to promote another user to Admin using policy.xml Logged in with that user and was able to check on my admin account.

The setting: Allow this user to manage the server was unchecked on my main user.  (I did not uncheck this as I have not had to perform any admin related duties b/c its been on autopilot for about a year or more)

I just clicked that and logged back in as my admin user and everything is back to normal. I have now removed admin from the temp admin account.

Everything seems to be ok now.

Thanks for the help.
