Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 I have a small issue. I moved some movie files (OK quote a few) and deleted some others but I forgot that I store the support files along with media and, even though the media files are gone, the support files are still there. It is possible for me to go through my file system and manually delete support files that have no media related to them. However that mostly comes under the category of "possible but not practical." What I would hope is that there is some way, during a library scan or some other process, for Emby to delete the support files that no longer have media associated with them. The files are small so it is not the space that is the problem but it is the clutter and the difficulty of maintaining my file system that makes me want to remove the dead files. Any ideas?
Spaceboy 2573 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 use something like treesize free https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free sort on folder content size and delete all small size folders

However i have never seen any reason for that and I found that it complicates file maintenance. In fact this is the first time I have run into anything that might be easier if everything was in folders. The problems of individual folder still outweigh the advantages for me. Thanks for trying.
