Hello so I noticed a problem last night, i'm not sure when it started since playback isn't an issue and I haven't added anything new in a few days but the problem goes like this: I run emby with a VPN (Mullvad) but I've got split tunneling enabled with emby placed there so its been running fine for months like that but last night I added some new media (Wicked City, Pulse - 2001 and 2006 - Black Christmas 2006 etc the issue doesn't seem to be related to any particular piece of media just giving some examples) and it wont pull the metadata for them. When I try to identify it never pulls any results even with the IMDB ID. Remote play seems fine so I started poking around and making sure my plugins were fine, and when I try to access them it never loads the catalog. It just spins and spins.

So I tested turning off my VPN and it immediately updated my plugins and the search worked - so I do know its an issue with the vpn but my question is this: What changed with this newest server update that prevents it from working with split tunneling enabled? It should be outside the vpn and nothing has changed with my vpn but something has changed with emby so i'm trying to figure out what is different so I can update the vpn if need be to fix it or update an emby setting to fix it. I'm just stumped on what is actually causing the problem.

I attached the server logs so if anyone more savvy than me can see the issue they can but unfortunately my computer knowledge doesn't include a lot of this specifically so I need some help, I pretty much only know enough to be dangerous.

Hi, yes it looks like the VPN is either blocking or interfering with outgoing communications that Emby Server is trying to send. You may have to configure the VPN to stop that.

alright thanks for confirming you could see that, i reinstalled my vpn and emby software and it started working after a restart. Still not sure what specifically was wrong but it looks like it cleared up and seems to be working now. Thanks again.
